I just don't like this ploy. The men in LuAnn's life – her friend and bodyguard, Charlie, and the new love interest, Matthew – were intriguing, but also were too good/strong to be entirely believable. Being highly recommended to me I was anxious to absorb myself reading a good book. David Baldacci has been writing since childhood, when his mother gave him a lined notebook in which to write down his stories. That's the main reason I don't rate books like this. This was not not one of Baldacci's best. I bought this book it was so good. Story partially from villain's perspective, power struggle within govt between two factions, finding out whether someone is really guilty. A page turner from the start, I'd happily recommend this.
