The 3 classes are, Diplomat (Etiquette, Conviction, Politics, Diversion, and Linguistics), Occultist (Science, Occultism, Manipulation, Erudition, and Subterfuges) and Detective (Questioning, Vigilance, Psychology, Logic, and Agility). For starters interaction markers, which are scattered around the Mortimer Manor and can denote either something of interest or a useful item, are far too subtle and are easy to miss. The game has its share of alternative paths because of this, but that doesn’t matter when they all lead you down bad plotlines. But as the story unfolds and the early mysteries meet their resolutions, events build into the fantastical. After the prologue, some time passes and Louis receives an invitation from one Lord Mortimer to come to his mansion on a secluded island. In the wake of the demise of Telltale, we have seen several companies really step up to the plate to put out fine story-driven episodic games.

Louis only has a certain amount of Effort Points to spend on helpful actions, and while these can be replenished with items you do have to carefully choose whether it’s worth the Effort.
