Ethan finally admits to Emma that he had kissed Sutton on the ranch and an upset Emma tells him that a part of him will always wish that he could be with Sutton.

Meanwhile, Ethan and Sutton's time alone in hiding together has lowered Ethan's guard. Alec tells Ted that he needs to keep an eye on her to prevent her from finding out any sort of information. Alec demands that Dan find Ethan and bring him home as soon as possible, as he is Alec's "prime suspect." Alec is wondering why Rebecca wants to work close to the Mercers. Meanwhile, Laurel and Emma host a small house party while the Mercers are away at the plastic surgeons convention. Ethan declares his love for Emma to Sutton, who assumes her sister's identity at the computer. Already having leads on their birth parents, Sutton wants to go to Los Angeles and find more information about them, convincing Emma to take her place for the next few days. Emma is worried when her foster brother, Travis, shows up from Las Vegas. Laurel meets a new guy in town, Justin and quickly falls for him.
